All the continents of Earth

Africa is the world's second largest continent by land area. The Equator passes through almost the middle of Africa. Around one-third of Africa is located in the Southern Hemisphere. Africa is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.

The climate of africa consists of hot desert in the north and jungles and savannahs in the middle and south. Africa has a large biological diversity, and is home to animals like elephants, hippopotamuses, rhinoceroses, and giraffes.

North America is the third largest continent in the world and lies entirely in the Northern Hemisphere. This continent is surrounded by oceans on all sides except the south, where it meets South America.

North America is surrounded by the Arctic Ocean in the north, the Atlantic Ocean in the east, the Pacific Ocean in the west and South America in the south.

The climate of North America is warmer in the south of the continent, and colder in the north. While temperatures near the coast tend to be mild, inland temperatures can be extreme.

South America lies mostly in the Southern Hemisphere. It is surrounded by oceans on all sides, except where it meets North America.

South America is the world's fourth largest continent by land area. It is situated in the southern hemisphere except for a small area of its northernmost portion of the continent.

South America is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the east, the Pacific Ocean in the west and North America in the north.

South America's climate ranges from the dry deserts to the rich rainforests of the Amazon. South America is home to amazing species of flora and fauna, tropical birds and monkeys.

Europe is a small continent, which lies entirely in the Northern hemisphere. It is surrounded by oceans and seas on all sides except where it meets Asia.

Europe is the sixth largest continent by land area. The Ural and Caucasus Mountains are generally believed to be the eastern boundary of Europe.

The climate of Europe is influenced by the currents of the Atlantic Ocean, which set a mild temperature throughout the continental's coastal areas.

Towards the interior of the continent, more extreme temperatures are experienced.

Australia is the world's smallest continent. It lies in the Southern Hemisphere. It is the only continent that is also a country. It is surrounded by oceans and seas on all sides and is also called an island continent.

The climate of Australia ranges from tropical, dry and hot in the north to mild temperatures in the south. Some of the species unique to Australia include the koala, wombat and kangaroo.

Antarctica is located at the South Pole and has no countries. It is reserved for use as a scientific base. Antarctica is the fifth largest continent by land area, and is the least populated. Antarctica is an island, and is completely surrounded by water.

High winds, extremely cold temperatures, lack of vegetation, and a very dry desert make the climate of Antarctica highly unfriendly. In spite of these conditions, a number of species like seals, penguins, and a number of plants and bacteria have adapted to the environment.
