  • In case A we can observe high precision.
  • In case B we can observe low precision.

It is the degree of agreement between replicate measurements of the same quantity i.e., it is the repeatability of a result.

It may be expressed in terms of standard deviation, mean of all measurements etc. Precision always accompanies accuracy, but a high degree of precision does not imply accuracy.

Precision is the degree of exactness with which an object is measured.
